LAOIS RALLYSPORT CLUB – SPRINT 2011
Following on from the huge success that was the inaugural Heartlands Rally 2011 in association with Laois County Council and O’Loughlin’s Hotel, Laois Rallysport Club are back again with their latest venture.
On Sunday 2nd October 2011 the club will hold a sprint in the Ballyadams/Ballintubbert area of Co. Laois. Once again the club have been overwhelmed by the support of the locals in the area for their event.
Clerk of the Course Nigel Moody said he had received a great response when he went door to door in the area informing locals that the club were planning on holding the sprint there and residents were very helpful and supportive and interested in watching on the day.
After the success of the local rally in June 2011 Nigel made the decision to move the annual sprint from its usual location of Tynagh Karting Track in Co. Galway and bring it back to Co. Laois.
This event will know take place over a 1.5 km stretch of road closed in the Ballyadams/Ballintubbert area. It is sure to draw entries as it is a pocket friendly event coming in at €120 per entry with one practice run and 4 timed runs on the day.
On the day you can expect to see rally cars compete again single seaters and saloon cars.
Laois Rallysport Club are delighted to announce proud sponsors for the event are Laois Hire who have been very good to the club over the past number of years and Ballintubbert Garden’s, Co. Laois.

Laois Rallysport Club would like to thank Laois County Council, the residents of the area and their sponsors for the continued support and look forward to a great event.
